LaVon Blank has been named Wabasso Healthcare Center’s Resident of the Month [for March].
LaVon has been serving as a Resident Volunteer for the past four years. She takes part in many of the daily activities in the facility. “My favorite activities are those that include involvement from the local children who come to visit us,” stated LaVon. She also enjoys crafts, bingo and entertainment events.
She was born in Redwood County and recalls her favorite childhood memories being those of fishing with her parents at Granite Falls.
LaVon also lives by the philosophy that you are never too old to try something new. She said this after sharing the story of her first experience of tubing on a lake when she was in her 60’s.
