Sisters Ann Peschges, Kathy DeSmet and JoAnne Callens have revived the art form of Irish dancing.
They, along with their children, are known as “Wee Bit O’ Irish Performers,” and they delight audiences with their Irish dancing, music, jokes and stories.
The sisters and their children get together once a month at their parents’ home in Clements to go over their routines, and they also practice during the month at their own homes.
Besides performances at nursing homes, the group also performs at various celebrations around the area.
Peschges said, “It’s good for the children to visit with the older generation.”
Callens made the costumes for her family and DeSmet’s, and Peschges sewed the outfits for her own children.
