Kathy Schilling has been named Wabasso Healthcare Center's Employee of the Month.
Kathy has been cooking at the facility for the past four and a half years. She lives in Wanda with her husband, David, and has four children and three grandchildren.
Kathy says that working with a great supervisor and wonderful staff makes her job very enjoyable. "It's a good feeling when I send out a plate full of warm chocolate chip cookies and it comes back empty, I know they were enjoyed by everyone."
In her spare time she enjoys sewing quilts, working on crossword puzzles, and camping with family and friends. Kathy also serves as a volunteer at Groundswell in Wanda.
"Each of our residents is a special person, and I am glad that I have the opportunity to help by preparing good and nutritious meals for them."
