Peter Smith was born and raised in Red Lake, Minn., and has four brothers and two sisters.
He recalls his favorite childhood memory to be that of spending time with his father while they fished and hunted. “I didn’t know it at the time, but as I got older, these times spent with my dad turned out to be some of the best times of my life. I really learned a lot on those trips.”
When asked about the [Wabasso Healthcare Center], he replies, “The staff here are truly special. They do a difficult job with professionalism and integrity. They provide a family atmosphere, full of fun and games. I especially like joking around with the day nurses and telling them stories.” He can often be heard saying, “I have no reason to lie to you!”
When asked for a quote to live by, Peter says, “Surround yourself with good people, and success takes care of itself.”
Peter used to think that he didn’t need anybody. Now he knows how untrue that is. “Wherever you go, there will always be negative people. By weeding them out and hanging out with the winners, a person can achieve his or her goals by learning something from those around them. We are all products of our environments, and today mine is full of nothing but positive people!”
